Infinity Sky Suite

We have been assigned a Sky Suite on the Sky deck mid ship directly next to the elevator. Has anyone stayed in a cabin like this? Are there noise problems? Many thanks!

I try to avoid putting my clients near elevators due to the hallway traffic noise. You know...people laughing, talking at all hours. If you can select a different location, I'd advise it.

If the Infinity's Sky Suites are anything like those on the Galaxy and the Century, you are in for an enormous treat. The room, itself, was nice--though nothing incredible except for the fact that the tub has a built in jacuzzi--but the veranda is HUGE! We had our wedding on board the Galaxy and, after the reception, we brought all 17 people back to the room. We were all out on the veranda, and it wasn't even crowded. We used to call it the "basketball court." In addition to that, though, the service that comes with the Sky Suite--a butler, afternoon tea, pre-dinner hors d'oeurves--really makes the cruise special. I really don't recall any noise problems whatsoever...except, of course, the lovely sound of the surf outside.

We are going on the Infinity in january and I wonder about added costs such as the Cova Cafe, etc. Can anyone tell me about what to espect? How much the charges are and what all is not included on that ship. I know casino, pix, bingo, drinks, etc. but are there other things I may not be thinking of?

Dear Sharon, The extra things you have to pay for, you pretty much covered. I would add the alternative restaurant $20/person,ship excursions,on board shopping, spa treatments, tips, casino tournements, soft drinks, etc. My husband is a big diet coke drinker, so I bring a suitcase full of it!!! Also, I usually bring alcohol--wine,etc.Even the corkage fee--using it at dinner is cheaper than buying the wine on board. Hope this helps! We will be doing the same thing on the Summit on 04/08/02 and the Constellation 07/08/02( buying the soft drinks and wine in Italy).Just love that Celebrity!!!!!

We were just around the corner from an elevator and weren't bothered by noise.

Our bill for a week on the Infinity was very low, but then we don't drink and I did a fair bit of hand-washing of clothes. I thought internet usage was pricey at 99¢ or thereabouts a minute. Not surprisingly the computer room was often empty. Or you can have it in your cabin for $100.

With all the food around, I wouldn't bother paying at the other restaurant. There is fresh fruit in the cabin every day, and the butler brings tea and snacks at 4:00-4:30, hors d'oeuvre at 5:00, then there's dinner, and on and on. And they actually supply a weight scale.
