Help for single first time cruisers?!
My single girlfriend and I are thinking about a New Years Week cruise on Royal Carribbean to the Southern Carribbean. We are curious about whether there are singles on lines other than Carnival. My friend sailed with Carnival a couple of years ago and wanted to cruise a nicer line, but we don't want to be the only singles on board. Any suggestions, tips, recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

CruiseMates is hosting a group cruise on the Golden Princess for New Years. They have special group rates - you may want to look at their site. The Golden Princess is more upscale than Carnival.

www.cruisemates.com
Have you considered one of the singles cruises? One of the problems with taking a cruise is finding the singles can be difficult. I've actually met guys the first day and then not run into them again. Especially on the mega ships, the smaller ships can be easier.

RCCL is great for 50 and ups. Or at least people with that mentality. Shows are geared to older folks. Even the dance music in the disco was outdated. There are of course singles on all cruises. I wouldn't recommend them for the young and energetic. Good idea though.
