Need tour help for Diamond Princess roundtrip from Singapore itinerary

I am booked on Diamond Princess roundtrip from Singapore and am having trouble finding a trustworthy tour company to take tours in all ports - is there such a thing? (We'd rather not take the Princess tours)

Why don´t you want to take the Princess tours? Especially on itineraries in that part of the world, I would rather take the ships tours. The ship won´t wait if an independant tour would be late, you don´t want to end up stranded!

First of all I doubt if the original poster is coming back. As for private tour operators we have taken them on practically all of our 15 cruises. We have never missed the ship and if you do a bit of research you can find out about operators that are very reliable. Cruise critic has a wealth of information about this and all you have to do is go to their board dedicated to port stops and ask questions about who is reliable and you will get plenty of answers. Many cruisers who have been cruising for quite a while use private tour operators as they are less money and more personalized. However for some the comfort level for that just isn't there and to each their own.
