Considering an Avalon river cruise - Basel to Amsterdam in September.

Anyone familiar with their trips?

We did a cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam this year with Avalon and were very happy with everything - the boat, the cabin, the crew, meals, sightseeing. Absolutely loved everything and have raved about it to all our friends (and anyone else who would listen).
We also did a cruise from Amsterdam to Basel two years - again loved the whole trip.
Really recommend getting a cabin with a french balcony - well worth the extra cost.

Dh and I have also taken a Avalon rivercruise,Budapest to Amsterdam in 2007. It was absolutely the best vacation we ever had. We have reserved another Avalon river cruise for next April, Paris to Nice. Avalon is part of Globus and you can't go wrong. They do everything the best. You will love it.

We are going on Avalons Tapestry from Budapest to Prague in August. It will be toward the end of August 1st of Sept. I hope the weather will not still be hot. We are really looking forward to the river cruise, this will be our frst one.

My husband and I are looking to book a Danube cruise from Budapest to Prague with Avalon in April. Does anyone have any advice as to clothing to pack? Is April too early to enjoy the scenery while cruising? Any other tips ?
