4 day cruises in Greece

Has anyone been on the 4 day cruise in Greece on R.O. I am going with my mom and sister next April and would appreciate any feedback, or other suggestions for other cruise lines. [email protected]

THe ships are older ships that do the 4 day cruise- one was built in 1966 and the other in 1976--do NOT expect Caribbean cruise ship standards in both looks or food--GO STRICTLY for itinerary. If you can do a 7 day cruise,I think you'd like it better because you get full days in each of the ports---whereas on ROYAL OLYMPIC you get 2 ports per day--which leaves you a pm visit to both Mykonos and Santorini---
Dear Arlene,

My opinion would not to sail the OLD Greek ships. The comfort factor is limited and I doubt they are up to U.S. safety standards.

Better choice is Royal Olympic Voyager or Explorer. Another good choice is First European Mistral or Vision. All good choices but you will have to give up your short itinerary.

It seems strange to me why you would want a short itinerary since when you are in the area why not see as much as possible. Of course if finances are a factor possibly you should wait until you have the funds for the longer cruise.

Happy planning,

Paul

Whoa Arlene:

You scared me.(smile) What Andy and Paul have suggested is SOLID. Me and DH have spent alot of time in Greece. Go with Royal Olympic AND try for 7 days if you can swing it.

Happy Travels
Oaktown
Hi Arlene,

Do not consider the RO Explorer. It was to be delivered in April then May then June and now Sept.

According to the builder the ship is ready. RO states it is not.

I have a gut feeling RO does not have the funds to launch.

Paul
