We stayed at Paradise Beach resort several years ago. It's simple, nothing fancy, but we liked it. The beach is beautiful, and there were very few people around. The grounds are nicely kept. You will need a vehicle as it is in the middle section of the island. You can kayak to the most beautiful beach in the BVI, Savannah Bay, right next door! There's one restaurant nearby, Georgio's Table (Italian) which we thought was delicious. We thought the snorkeling was good right off the beach also. Any questions, let me know--Kathrine
katherine, thanks for the info, the pictures of Paradise look wonderful but they don't have any pictures of the villa itself. Was it in pretty bad shape? was it at least clean? If you have anymore details or info on other places to stay I would appreciate it. Even input of places on other islands. thanks theresa
No, it wasn't in bad shape at all! Just simple, not fancy. I'd stay there again to be sure. One other place that appeals to a lot of people that might be worth checking out is Guavaberry. It's down near the Baths. Everybody seems to like it that has stayed there. As far as other islands, I've been to others, but VG is my favorite. Anguilla is also wonderful--we stayed at Blue Waters--very nice! Kathrine
In my opinion, best value for a family is at Nail Bay. Good size suites with full kitchens, fabulous snorkeling off Mountain Trunk Bay just a 5 minute walk down the hillside trail. Best of all, very reasonable price. Occasional power outages, but unless you are staying at Little Dix Bay (which has its own power station) that is the way of life on VG. Anyway, it only adds to the family memories. Visit the website Nailbay.com.
