Weather

Should I be worried about the weather the 1st week in November in Turks and Caicos? Planning to go there on vacation during that time.

No one can predict what the weather will be in the T&C's during the first week in November. All one can give you is averages:

Average Daytime Temperature - 80 F.

Average Daily High - 84 F.

Average Daily Low - 76 F.

Highest Recorded - 89 F.

Lowest Recorded - 68 F.

Average Monthly Precipitation - 3.7"

Average numer of Rainy Days for Month - 6.3

If you want you can find records showing what actual weather conditions were during the first week in November for the last 10 years at: www.wunderground.co Use the Travel and Activities drop-down menu to select "Trip Planner" - enter the airport code for Providenciales (PLS) and your planned dates of travel. You'll be directed to all sorts of weather data. Study the material and you'll know more about the weather on Provo than most locals.

Just to clarify -for statistical purposes a "Rainy Day" is any day where there is some measurable precipitation somewhere on the island - but not necessarily a rain that covers the entire island or lasts a long time.

weather2travel.com Climate Guide

Do not travel to the Carib storm belt in the fall

too much risk of rain.

St Lucia jademountain.com or the ABC "Blue Sky" Isles

cntraveler.com a much safer bet or Kona Hawaii even better.

where I go a lot Hapuna Prince Big Island packages from $1k.

Happy Hunting,

Based on past personal visits, including last Nov, the weather has been scrumptious. Provo is one of the most dry islands in the world. If you read a chance of rain, it could mean a 20 minute shower late night, you'd never know it! It can also mean there's a chance on any other T&C island. You can be on Grace Bay Beach under bright sun and watch it raining over at North Caicos, there's your forcast. You can have a sprinkle at the same time the sun is shinning on you. You can be on 1 beach with rain, and go to the other side with sun. (5 miles)

The chances of you getting rain are minimal, a complete washout day is extremely rare.

Of course, I can't predict the weather (I'd be worth a fortune) but chances are you'll come back tan.

have been on provo twice in nov. temps were hot, water was wonderfully warm. we had a few rain showers - generally long enough to pick up our gear & head for the house, then by the time we were indoors it stopped.
