special occasion, need help

Would like to plan a trip for a special anniversary for my husband and I for next May,or June. Would like a resort with secluded feel, beautiful beach, place where we don't have to worry about reserving beach or pool chair at 5 a.m. loved Turka and Caicos, considering the Reefs in Bermuda, someone recommended the Palms in t & c but no one seems to be able to get info on it. Help!!!!

Hi francine,

I would suggest a resort on South Andros Island, you feel like you have the beach to yourself, it is all inclusive and there is not a thing you need to worry about. This is a well kept secret. You can check out the resort at www.tiamo.com and you can book it at www.androsdiving.com and get discounts. The diving site also has other activities on the island to offer. This trip is one were you can do nothing but relax or do everything under the sun that you want to.

Try fineliving.com and choose the tv show around the world in 80 homes. Lots of great suggestions.

Ocean front at the Royal West Indies was excellent. No crowds or hassles, used the catamaran, great swimming, snorkeling and diving. Plus you can book great sails. We used Sail Provo for the all day sail. We liked it so much we did it again later in the week.

Hi Francine,
I can't help but suggest Cap Juluca(Anguilla) for your special anniversary(congratulations). No worries on the chairs, the beach is incredible. Just a suggeston. The Palms is a very cool, modern, upscale resort. Do you want to be on T & C for sure, or are you open to other ideas?

We were in Bermuda for our tenth anniversary last year. It is a little expensive, but the people are so kind and the food is so good. I recommend you take a second look at it.

to reply to beachluver,we are not limited to Turks and Caicos, actually may not want to go back to see how much it has developed from our first visit over 5 years ago. I don't think Bermuda has changed much from our visit, which believe it or not, over 20 years. Love the idea of a small intimate place with great pool and beach, wouldn't mind great food also, but we don't need alot of glitz. Thanks to all who have replied to our search!

francine,
While Cap Juluca has a secluded feel and beautiful beach, no problem for beach chairs, I should mention the pool is "adequate" I can't say it is great, so if that is very important, just wanted to make that comment. Cusinart on Anguilla may be worth looking at. We were there this last July. Hope this helps you.
We only were in T&C, once , this past April. Although I have fond memories, the construction boom is a little too much for me personally. We stayed at Grace Bay Club, very nice and romantic(but had alot of construction on site then). The new villas will add more people to the property, including children (GBC was no children under 16 when we were there)
