Oh MIM,
I guess I didn't remember that you are in Texas. I also didn't remember that MAH was in NOLA.
Lord woman, where are you and what are you doing to prepare ?
Give yourself and that baby girl hugs, and let us know if there is anything we can do.
So many of us feel SO helpless !
Please take care !

We are in Austin, so I am sure we will be fine. My family is in Houston though. We are expecting flooding, hurricane-force winds and tornadoes here on Saturday, but of course it will pale in comparison to what is about to happen to the coast. I have been through many major hurricanes in the Caribbean so I am not really worried about it. I am more worried for all those trying to get out stuck on the highways.

Thanks so much for taking the time to post !
YAY for electricity, and all that we usually take for granted.
Please know that thoughts and prayers continue for all of you during this recovery period.
Good luck !

Thank you for your kind thoughts. I also live in Austin with family ties to Houston. I am glad that Houston didn't catch the brunt of this storm, but I do feel very badly for those who did. But let's be thankful it came in at a Cat 3 instead of Cat 5, as originally predicted.
