If you can afford the plane ticket, you can afford beer. And drink the Mexican stuff- it's cheaper.

Yes I can afford a ticket 2 Cancun. Why should that matter? Can not be any more expensive than the beer in GC. Around 35CI for Bud. That's around 44US for those who can't afford a ticket 2 GC. And what does Rome have 2 do with Cancun? Sorry for the posting!!

It's an old saying "when in Rome, do as the Romans." When in Mexico drink the Mexican beer.

I really don't know the price of American beer in Mexico. We always go AI and drink what the hotel provides which is Mexican beer. Most people want to drink the National beer and not the American stuff, which they can get at home.

There is a Wal-Mart if you insist on buying American.

Joe asked a clear question, and all he got was extraneous comments. Sorry, joe, but that happens all the time on Fodors.

I do not remember the exact price but I think it was about the same price of what I would pay at home.

Joe, I feel you pain. The last time I was in GC,beer was $40 per case. I knew this b4 I left so I bought my beer at home and checked it on the plane as baggage. As long as it''s not over 50lbs; no problem and no charge. I duct taped 2 cases together, which is about 40lbs..
ps...I LOVE BEER!!!!!
