Help! we scuba dive

Hi all. we have enough miles to get to PR. that said we have looked at Anguilla and St. Johns and would consider anyplace with clear waters. We are both expierenced divers looking for good ideas for a 10 day trip. We are not afraid of "travel" most of our dive trips have been 3rd world. Any ideas of where to go from PR?

Just to get an idea we have been to Honduras, Belize, St. Croix, Cozumel, Bahamas, St. Lucia

Grand Cayman's sister islands Cayman Brac and Little Cayman dominated the Rodale's list by winning 5 diving categories including best overall
here's the link www.scubadiving.com/feature/specials/top10001/destinations.shtml
Here's another vote for the Cayman Islands. The best diving I have experienced yet. Not to mention the restuarants on Grand Cayman are amazing. The downside of GC is that it is quite expensive. I haven't visited the smaller islands; Cayman Brac or Little Cayman, but they are on my list as I have only heard great things about the diving there. After experiencing Grand Cayman, I believe the stories about the other two.

Yes the Caymans have long been on our wish list. Problem is it is impossible to get there on Delta or United. Which we have so many miles with and so little time! Looking into Bonaire, but may be to much time spent getting there and back. Thinking about Tortola, St. Johns. We can easily get to St. Thomas and go from there. Have no desire to stay at St. Thomas though.

Any ideas on places in that region? Really anyplace a short hop from San Juan for St. Thomas?

Thanks all. gotta get all my scuba stuff in order and repaired, just rembered that my reg leaks..yikes.

just wondering why you can't get there on Delta? where are you flying from? the reason I ask is that we're going there in May and friends who live in San Jose are taking Delta to Atlanta and then connecting on Delta again to Cayman.

Thanks for making me double check the Delta deal. Delta lets you use United miles to SOME locations when I checked they said Cayman was not avail. I took that to mean they did not fly there. Thanks to a patient, kind, helpful at United res, (yes one does exsist) she got me to the Caymans! We arrive GC May 18th for 10 days. Have yet to finalize the rest of trip. thinink a couple of days at Grand Cayman then a week at Cayman Brac. But the hard part is done! Thanks for all the help!

Have you considered St. Eustatius? Great diving. Saba has wonderful diving, too.

They're both small, so ten days might be too long on either alone, but you could split the trip up between the two. If it's good diving your really looking for, rather than touristy spots, look into both islands.

Do a search on the web for info or email me.
