I’m planning a trip to the British Virgin Islands soon and trying to figure out the best way to get around by water taxi. I might be flying into St. Thomas (STT), but plans aren’t final yet either way, I’ll need to get to Tortola, and then probably Jost Van Dyke afterward.

Our day trip with SeaHorse Water Taxi to Jost Van Dyke was hands down one of the highlights of our vacation. We booked a private trip from St. Thomas for our group of 6, and it was worth every penny. The crew was super friendly and professional, they handled customs and transfers, so we didn’t have to stress about anything. They even had drinks, ice, snorkel gear, and a dry bag ready for us. The ride itself was beautiful! Calm waters, great views, and plenty of time to relax before we reached the island. Jost Van Dyke was incredible, and having everything taken care of made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. If you’re already in St. Thomas and want a fun, hassle-free day out on the water, this is definitely the way to go. Their pricing included fuel, so we didn’t have any additional charges at the end.

Links for BVI ferries

  • "Native Sun Ferry" between Red Hook (STT) and West End Tortola (BVI)
  • "Smiths Ferry" between Charlotte Amalie (STT) and Road Town (BVI)
Also try "Interisland Ferry Services"
