Desperate for help QUICK!!!
I need help deciding where to go on my honeymoon. My top choices are Grand Cayman, Hawaii, or the French Polynesia. I have to book it VERY SOON because I'm getting married June 24, 2000. I know I'm very behind...and very stressed about the fact that I'm so behind. My top choices are Hawaii, French Polynesia, or Grand Cayman. I welcome any suggestions, especially from those who have travelled to all three. We will be going for 6 days, 7 nights. Looking for a nice mixture between somewhere not too crowded but also with somewhat of a nightlife...we love to dance. Must have a great beach, good food, and nice, clean hotel rooms. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. P.S. I have been to Kuaui before and absolutely loved it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have been to Grand Cayman (3 times) and spent my honeymoon in French Polynesia.
French Polynesia - I don't know what part of the country you're from but it takes a LONG time to get there. I think the flight was 8 hours from L.A. Anyway, stayed 5 nights on Huahine (Hana Iti resort). Very beautiful but not much to do. You eat in the same restaurant every night unless you rent a car and venture into town. The town has 3 or 4 restaurants (very casual). The beach was great, spectacular sights and very relaxing but I prefer more to do and see. We did spend 2 nights in Papaate (Tahiti). That was more like a city. The beaches there are black sand so we didn't hit the beach there. They are in the S. Hemisphere so June is during their winter (preferable to when we went in January - VERY HOT). Also, in Huahine they are not as picky about lizards and bugs in the rooms. They actually like to have the lizards because they eat the mosquitoes.

Cayman's - We love it but it is not for everyone. It is very much like Florida as far as the hotels and tourists. We like it because diving is great, great restaurants to choose from - most within walking distance, no crime and no one bothering you on the beach. Beach is great. Have stayed at the Westin and love it. It is expensive so be prepared.

E-mail me if you want any more info.

If you loved Kaui you will love The Big Island of Hawaii. My favorites are Four Seasons Hualalai and The Orchid at Mana Lani. My choice on Maui is The Kapalua Bay Villas or Ritz Carlton Kapalua. Superb!

Another option is The Lodge at Keole on the island of Lanai. I personally have not been yet heard it's beautiful.

If you have never traveled outside the US we would definately recommend the Hawiian Islands. You will feel completely at home. If you don't know what jet lag is you will find out on the way home. If you are traveling from the east coast or midwest than you should consider the Carribean as we feel 10 days is an minimum for a Hawiian vacation. If you do the Carribean we wish you good luck on the weather.
