Hi Bliss:
Yes Compass Point is a Chris Blackwell property and you should find it by following Emily's instructions.
It is a neat place. It is not plush but the atmosphere and the interesting blend of people you meet and see there always brought us enjoyment.
We met Al Roker of the Today Show there - he was doing a shoot for a Father's Day special for the Food Network a couple of years ago (his family hails from the Bahamas). We have seen Sean Connery dining there twice. He owns a home just up the road in Lyford Cay. Lenny Kravitz owns a beachfront property that abuts Compass Point just at the start of Love Beach.
I think you will enjoy the place for its solitude, beauty and informality.
Enjoy!

FYI Compass Point and Kamalame Cay are no longer affiliate with Chris Blackwell's Island Outpost group. That's why BB couldn't find it on the website. Right now if you need information, you are referred to the property directly, The Compass Point number is 242-327-4500

Thanks for all the replies. I tried the link that Emily provided and at least it gives you some good info about the property and such. Of course if you try to use it to check availability it tells you there is none.
I'm very curious to know when it split from the Island Outpost group and why, and what has changed since if anything.

BB, it split late last year and basically, Brian Hew, the guy who originally owned Kamalame Cay has decided to manage these two properties independently. As far as what will change, the Compass Point units will get AC and a re-touch of paint. That's all I know for now.

Thanks for the information on Blackwell. I know from talking ot his staff at Compass Point that he liked this spot and am surprised he let it go - especially with the recording studio on property.
Oh well, maybe the change will be for the better.

Also surprised that Compass is no longer part of Island Outpost. We stayed there for a week about 5 years ago and really loved it. The colors used in the buildings are incredible and the beach has really great snorkeling. It is popular with celeb's. Twiggy and Lenny K. were both there when we visited. Restaurant is also good. Downsides were: Not everything was properly maintained--bathroom needed lots of work and you do have small planes flying right over Love Beach for their approach to the airport. All in all we highly recommend it and we are NOT in the travel business but do vacation all over the Caribbean. Will be interested to hear what happens to the hotel under new ownership.
