Bahama Vacation

Hi there my fiance and I are going to the Bahamas in mid Aug. (first vacation in almost 3 yrs) we booked our stay at the Coral Atlantis. We recently have been seeing a lot of negative comments about their food and their food prices, does anyone have recommendations for restaurants that we can explore while there, or other areas in the island that we can catch a taxi too?

We are really looking forward to our vacation and we dont want to break the bank, being new home owners is not as much fun as they said it would be.. lol!

thank you all in advance,

Yes, food is expensive at the resort. We actually spent less money there when we did NOT get the food plan.
It's been a while since we've been there, but there were some good restaurants across the street and next door to the Atlantis that are less expensive.
