Easter Getaway?
Hi, my hubby and I are looking for a 2 night getaway away from Toronto for easter (Fri/Sat night). I've been to Niagra already, and may do it again. A friend mentioned Blue Mountain Resort (Green season package).

What we are looking at is something that includes breakfast and /or at least one dinner if possible with places to see etc around the town.

Anyone have any ideas besides Niagra or Blue Mountain.

Thanks!

You might want to consider the Hotel Belvedere in historic, downtown Kingston. Kingston was supposed to be the capital of Ontario before TO got that privilege and has gracious old buildings, a lovely waterside walk, some cruises off the quay and great restaurants including one owned by the recently deceased member of the Loving Spoonful, Zal Yanokfsky, called Chez Piggy. Check out Cooks Store on the main street.

Kingston is safe, picturesque and about 2 easy hours of driving from Toronto. The Hotel Belvedere is charming and beautifully decorated in antiques. I first went there, somewhat reluctantly, with my husband on business and loved the little getaway.

Try the Talisman Resort in Kimberly, Ont. About a 2 hr drive north. Gourmet food and probably a great price now that ski season is over. they have a neat little golf course..you may get lucky with the weather. Horseback riding, hiking, etc.
