We were able to get 1/2 price same day tickets at the TO ticket booth at Eaton Centre shopping mall. They had tickets for Second City, Copacabana (limited run, might be over by the time you get there), Mousetrap and several other small productions. You probably won't get Mamma Mia or Lion King, try www.mirvish.com to see if any full price tickets are left.

It's possible to drive to the U.S. If you look at a map, it looks like the closest point of entry is Niagara Falls which looks to be about 90 miles or so, going through Windsor into Detroit is much further (226 miles on my map from Toronto to Windsor). Niagara Falls is worth the trip. I saw a bunch of day trips that ran from Toronto or it's easy to drive yourself. You can see all of the falls from the Canadian side so I'm not sure if you should bother going over to the US side.

If you like hockey, you'll be sure to love the Hockey Hall of Fame.

I would also recommend Second City. For the stage shows, the 50% booth mentioned above is a good bet. You might also be able to get single tickets for some of the more popular theatre events.

Copacabana finished this past Saturday.

Definitly go to Second City, you will have a blast! While you are in the area, check out Wayne Gretzkys restaurant-even if you dont want to eat there, there is a lot of stuff to look at about 'the great one". If you like theme parks -go to Paramount Canadas Wonderland there is a lot to do and they have a big waterpark also -allow a full day there!!!!
Good luck, there is a lot to do in the city!! Cheers
