My hotel deal give me 50$ a day in
riitalia, Joe Fortes, Shanghai Chinese, Circolo, Allegro, Simply Thai, Le Gavroche, Brigdges, Kakiemon, Mortons. I'll be staying 5 nights, so I have 5 restaurants to pick. any recomendations?

Try reading Vancouver Magazine's restaurant mini reviews as they'll give you some ideas of what to expect:

http://www.vanmag.com/diningout/westcoast.html

Wow jo, you really scored a good deal with that pkg! (Of course, unless you paid really big $$ for it!!)

My thoughts on a couple of the places:
Joe Fortes - always nice
Allegro - love it there for lunch
Shanghai Chinese - gets really good reviews from people I know, I think it's okay. Best part is that they make their noodles right there in the restaurant. The guy whips the noodles up between the tables...pretty amazing to watch and very tasty!
Bridges: three locations in one: a pub, a dock, and upstairs fine dining. Fine dining is good, but I think the best place is the dock. On a sunny day sit out on the open deck for lunch or dinner, watch the boats, the birds, and the people...be sure to bring your shades. Great location too as it's on Granville Island.

Of course, these are only my opinions. A lot of people like "C", but my dining experience (and lack of apology or acknowledgement that the food was improperly cooked) makes me never recommend it. Check out the restaurants for yourself on zagat's.

I suggest wherever you decide, you make reservations or you may show up and be disappointed.

Have fun!
