PEI Honeymoon spots
DD is looking at spots for her honeymoon in PEI. They are wanting to do a cycling trip and then end off with a few days at a beautiful inn. I was suggesting Inn at Bay Fortune but then Inn at Spry Point which looks better? Any thoughts, recommendations?
Oh and spots along the cycling route?

DH and I stayed at the Inn at Bay Fortune several years ago. The rooms are lovely, the view is nice and the location is perfect for walking or cycling.
On my last trip to PEI I traveled with two friends and one's granddaughter. We had a cabin at Dalvay by the Sea and loved it. The cabins are new and very nicely appointed. There is a high degree of privacy in each cabin, but they are within walking distance of the main house. I loved being able to ride with virtually no traffic. I did not go to the Confederation Trail because the rental car couldn't accomodate the bike.
Best wishes to the lucky bride and groom. PEI is a marvelous choice of honeymoon spots.

Thanks!! They are presently living in NS and the groom hasnt really seen PEI. (This is my Ohara couple-met there 5 years ago and have been together ever since!)
I was trying to think of the name for Dalvay last night when she was asking so glad you came up with it for me. A recommendation from you to them will be taken with a high degree of confidence!

Getting your start in Heaven is a good thing! Lake O'Hara is where my heart goes anytime life gets too challenging.
The rooms at Inn at Bay Fortune were very nice and a bit more elegant than Dalvay, but Dalvay was more comfortable for active travelers. Although it is very close to a main road, it somehow has a sense of seclusion. I had seen it years ago and told DH "one day".... It was worth the wait. I would get up in the am and walk to the beach. I usually had it to myself. I would go back in a second.

PS I liked the food at Dalvay more than the food at Bay Fortune. Although the menu never changed during my stay I never exhausted the choices.
The other observation is a more personal one, I felt more welcome at Dalvay.
Dalvay is a larger property than Bay Fortune so on a honeymoon I would definitely go for a cabin/cottage.
