Niagara Falls- Restaurants
My husband and I are flying in on June9- 11th. Staying at the Marriott Fallsview. What about food places that are not $$$$$. I had heard about "fish fry's" on Friday nites?? We are renting a car too but need some ideas for food not too costly. Thanks for the help

For something different and a photo oportunity there is a flying saucer restaurant 6768 Lundy Lane (do a map quest) Drive inn or walk in etc. Also do a web search for more info. http://fallscasino.com/saucer/

There are buffets at the casino that offer OK food real cheap... a step up would include 20 or more chains(TGIF etc) within walking distance of your hotel... theres also a Wolfgang Puck, and in Niagara-on-the-Lake several better eating establishments in wineries as mentioned by Brian... have fun

TGIF in Niagara Falls is the worst!!!
It took forever for our meal to arrive, 12.00 for a hamburger, and the meat had turned, even the manager agreed, our meal was refunded, and we had to go with a baby elsewhere and order, wait and eat....
very expensive, and terrible terrible!!
RUBY TUESDAYS!!!!!!!!! now thats is where is would spend my money... great food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or the Buffet at Sheraton Inn on the Falls.

I just went to Niagara Falls yesterday with my boyfriend, although the falls and casino are worth it I would suggest like a previous poster to definately go to Niagara on the Lake for dinner - much more scenic and cozy, not to mention the fabulous wines.
Have a great trip!

You will have to cross the border to the American side for a fish fry. I rarely go the falls for dinner, so can't give you a recommendation. However, my comments will bump your thread to the top and, hopefully, you'll get a few recommendations.
A fish fry usually costs about $8.00 and can be had on a Friday night in any neighborhood corner bar or restaurant between Buffalo and Niagara Falls!

Hi nancydear;
Hope I'm not too late --- I would suggest Fine Kettle O'Fish in Niagara Falls ON. It's tucked into the back of the Town and Country plaza on Portage Road. There's a menu and map on the website -- easy to get to from the Marriott. It's very popular on Friday nights with local residents so you may need to wait unless you go early. They have a good selection of seafood other than fish & chips.
