good lobster roll

For our 50th anniversary, we will take a Sept, 2016 cruise that ends in Quebec City. We considered driving to Maine (where we have visited ), so we could enjoy the great lobster rolls. Now we are thinking about spending a week or more somewhere in Canada. Is there a good place to visit where we can get a good lobster roll ? I know this sounds silly, but it means something to us. Thanks.

My guess you'd easily find them in any of the maritime provinces

Serious young chefs across the province luxuriate in the seafood ingredients sourced from the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The best shellfish platter I ever ate was in a Quebec City hole-in-the-wall which was so casual I thought I should help wash the dishes. Memorable. Lobster roll at first seems a cliche, but who knows? Chuck Hughes won the Iron Chef contest with lobster poutine. He's in Montreal; you could easily split a week between the two cities going crazy with the cooking.

Thanks to both of you for your responses. I think I knew that you don't go Quebec for lobster rolls. We will head to the coast for this.

The lobster season varies by location. So there is a good chance that what you are being served at a seaside restaurant actually comes from somewhere else.
