I will be travelling to Monteal next week and was wondering if anyone could recommend any good bars to meet people.

Thanks for message. Actually looking for scene folk and places where there is good people watching. Also, if you can suggest some good brewery type bars that would also be great.

Montreal is a great place for people-watching...you won't go wrong in this regard wherever you decide to go. <BR> <BR>There's many brewery type bars; I'll name a few I've been to and liked. Brutopia and McKibbin's Irish pub are good bets for quality beer

Rue Prince Arthur (between St. Laurent and St. Denis), St. Laurent Boul. near Prince Arthur , Ave. Mont Royal between Saint Urbain and Papineau, St. Denis St. between de Maisonneuve and ave. Mont-Royal all have tons of places with great people-watching. <BR> <BR>There's many brewery type bars; I'll name a few I've been to and liked. Brutopia and McKibbin's Irish pub are good bets for quality beer on the anglophone side of town...they're located just off Ste. Catherine St. on Crescent and Bishop I believe. (metro Guy/Concordia) Sometimes there's entertainment at one or the other. <BR> <BR>Bieres et Compagnie on rue St. Denis corner Marie-Anne has more French-influenced ambience and great beer (metro: Mont Royal) from around the world. <BR> <BR>For great folk entertainment, you may want to check out Jello Bar on rue Ontario E., a few blocks east of Saint-Laurent St. <BR> <BR>Have a blast! defintely as said previous, go to Crescent St and the streets to either side of it, you can't miss.
