banff stay
I will be in Banff for 3 days in Novemeber(3rd weekend).
Can somebody suggest some good places to stay(we are a young couple with a 3 yr. old). Banff springs fairmont seems a bit more pricey.I would like other resort/cozy accomodation suggestions

Hi,
We always stay in Canmore when we go to the Banff area because it's usually our whole family which is 5 of us so we rent a condo like accomodation such as Mystic Springs or Firemountain Lodge. However, if I was to stay in Banff, the Fox hotel and suites looks nice and gets great reviews on trip advisor.
Quite along time ago we stayed at Tunnel Mountain Lodge, Douglas Fir and the banff royal canadian lodge. All of these are right in Banff. The Banff royal Canadian lodge was the best of the three.

With only 3 days and a small child, I'd think you'd want to stay right in the town of Banff rather than drive to and from Canmore each day. There are tons of hotel choices there... you may want to try Expedia or Tripadvisor to see what all your choices are. I enjoyed Banff Caribou Lodge (amazing hot tub!) but it is definitely a "hotel" rather than a "resort." I also really liked Buffalo Mountain Lodge (gorgeous cozy rooms) though it is up a large hill so oyu need to drive a short ways into town. If you want something upscale, the Rimrock seems to get good reviews, though I've never stayed there myself. Good luck... you will love Banff!
