8 days in NL
Arriving in NL. Staying 2 nights in St. john's then travelling to Twillingate to see icebergs. Staying 2 nights in Twillingate. Would appreciate ideas of must sees/do for our (group of 5 50+ year old women) way back to St. john's for our trip home. Planning on seeing Signal Hill and Cape Spear at the beginning of our journey. This is a trip to celebrate my 60th birthday with a group of close friends. Have never been to NL. Ideas will be appreciated. We are all meeting on January 30 to finalize this last part of the trip. Air travel, rental car, accommodations in St. john's (for arrival days) and Twillingate have already been booked.
Thank you so very much.

We spent almost 3 weeks in NL last June and had a fantastic time!
Re your itinerary - are you looking for suggestions for where to stay the remaining 3 nights (is it 3 or 4?).
2 nights is really only one full day of touring (assuming you're driving straight through from St. John's to Twillingate so that will take most of the day). I might consider adding a night to Twillingate. You could then make your way back to the Trinity area and spend the remaining time there. It's a lovely area with tons of whales and bergs when we were there - and puffins. There is a charming play performed in Trinity called the Pageant. You walk around the town following the cast. It starts in mid June and is performed two days a week at 2pm - check their website.
We left Trinity early the morning of our flight and drove directly to the airport.

Thank you Elizabeth. We have decided to stay 2 nights in the Trinity area......it is on our way back from Twillingate to St. john's. Unfortunately we will be there at the beginning of June so we will miss the pageant but hopefully there will be enough to keep us busy. A few in the group want to do some hiking. Thanks for the information. We are goping that this will be a great trip for everyone is our group of 5.
