I have been to many Club Med's but I went for my honeymoon to Moorea Club Med in the middle of July a couple of years ago and it was beyond fantastic. This is a perfect time to go re the weather. The accomodations are very basic, but lovely. The atmosphere there is so nice. This club is very large and even though it was packed, you never seemed to see many people around apart from the meal times. The only thing I was not crazy about is that in the large dining room you HAVE to eat at the large tables all the time and it gets a little tiresome during the second week. The food though was some of the best Club Med food I have seen because they kind of cater to 4 different cultures. Wait until you see the fish night! or the French night! The small rest. is great for lunch, the view is fantastic. The snorkeling is magic and the trips over and back to the little motu are great. They had some great shows when I was there. Its a mixture of French, Japanese and Australians with a few Americans. People were amazed that we came from New York. Definitely go on the day trip safari arranged by the Club, thats fun. Swimming with the dolphins is nice but not worth the $$$. I would def. recommend this club and intend to revisit some day. Its really beautiful and you will have a great time. Now Im jealous !!!!!!!! I did not see any gold course though -- maybe at the other hotels. Also, we rented a little motorbike and went around the island, you can make it around in a couple of hours and its very safe.

I just thought of other things, the Club offers a shark and ray feeding outing. I was absoutley terrified and was shaking getting off the boat ... but when I did it was one of the things I most enjoyed from the trip. In fact, from seeing that and seeing the amazing marine life aroung Moorea, myself and my husband took scuba classes when we came home because we saw how much we were missing on these trips by not being able to dive. So if you do dive, you are in for an incredible treat. But thats another really enjoyable excursion they offer. There is also a Tiki Village show about 20 mins away thats worth seeing, but be warned, if you are very shy, sit off to the side of the audience where you can escape because they get you involved in the native dancing and literally drag you out to participate. Its really fun (but I was one of the chickens that escaped!) Hope this is helpful, I really cant say enough good things about it. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
