Zeavola???

I just noticed that Zeavola has a "super-saver" special for 6,000 bhat for a "Village Suite" during the time we'll be on Phi Phi.

I can't find many reviews on Zeavola, nor can I find out what a Village Suite really is. I know it's their cheapest type of accomodation. Also, does anyone know if there are any other bars or restaurants within walking distance of Zeavola or are you pretty much trapped at the resort?

Do a search on this. There is a trip report where they stayed at Zeavola on Phi Phi. I just read it last night.

Yeah, I saw those, but was hoping someone could give some more specific feedback on the "Village Suite" rooms. Also, I'm wondering if there are any other restaurants and bars within walking distance to the resort, so we don't feel too isolated.

I'm considering taking that offer myself when we go in may, its by far the best around at this time. At the end of long beach you'll find the holiday-inn resort its a 3 mins walk. Last time I visited phiphi we went to the restaurant, and it was very nice. At the other end you`ll find phiphi natural resort a low bugdget resort, we tried it for launch and NEVER AGAIN - awfull.

You're welcome. Also, you might try go to traveladvisor and search for zeavola. There should be 2 reveiws from people who have visited the place the last couple of months.

Yeah, I saw those two reviews on Trip Advisor. Everyone is pretty positive. I still can't find anything about the "Village Suites" though. Other than they are 20m smaller than the other suites. I'm hoping they are still really nice. I would hate to be so far from all the "action" just to stay in an average room. However, I bet the service and food, etc. are well above average regardless of the room.

Hmmm, I just found that they have a similar deal through their web site if you try to actually book at room. It's 5,500 THB for a Village Suite and 6500 THB for a Hillside/Garden Suite. These rates don't include the 17% tax and service fees. Now, I'm tempted to book the larger Hillside/Garden Suite. Decisions, decisions!

Okay, the heck with it, I just booked the Hillside/Garden suite for three nights at 6500 THB/nt plus 17% taxes/fees. I figure that I won't ever get a deal like this again at this place, so we might as well jump on it. Now, hopefully, I can get my money back for the Arayburi that we already booked.

For nice photos of the resort you might try this :
http://www.krabi-hotels.com/zeavola/photos.htm
Here they have about 50+++ photos of the resort and different suites.
I think I'm going to book it as well. I first wanted to book holiday inn but now I've send 2 email with questions for the hotel and they have'nt answered me back. I hate that. So with this good price I think I might book that insted and zeavola just seems so much fresher than holiday inn. There was just one thing, that when I tried to make the reservation at the zeavola website they posted that all data on their webside was encrypted but at my browser IE6.0 It did'nt show the little yellow loch at the bottom of the page as it normally does with a secure site. Can I be sure thats its a save site then????????

juridf, I noticed the same exact thing about not seeing the "lock" on my web page. I just said the hell with it and sent it anyway. Most credit cards won't make you pay for fraudulent charges, so I'm not too worried about it really. If you're booking the Village Suite, www.phuket.com has it for 6,000THB including taxes, so maybe you can book it through their secure server. I went for the Hillside/Garden bungelow, so I really had no choice except to use the possibly unsecure site. Good luck!

I just made a discovery that I thought I should share with anyone interested in booking at Zeavola. If you join "The Club of Small Luxury Hotels of the World" (for free) and then book through them, you get a free room upgrade if available, among other benefits. This is the same company that handles Zeavola's regular reservations, so you still get any applicable sale fares being offerred.

I found this out after making my reservation, but e-mailed Zeavola directly and gave them my club number and asked if I could still get the benefits. They sent me a friendly reply stating that we will be upgraded to a beachfront bungalow. Awesome!!!

Here is the web site to join The Club:

Oh yeah, one quick note... they already knew that we will be celbrating our wedding anniversary there, so that may have contributed to them offering the upgrade so easily, even though we didn't book through the Club per the "rules". Either way, I'm very pleased with their responsivness thus far.
