About 5th attempt now, let's see if it works!

You are not alone, it is terrible.

Most people I am sure give up trying. I also had problems trying even to register so I guess many who wanted to have given up and moved to other forums.

This will rapidly become a very dull thread, but just to add weight in the hope something is sorted out, I, too, find it impossible to post some days, and that it can take three attempts just to get the list of messages to load. Doesn't seem to me to be a speed issue--just that the site sometimes simply doesn't work.

Peter N-H
http://members.axion.net/~pnh/China.html

I too am having the same problem and I find it really annoying. Check out www.vtourist.com I find it way better then this site and it's more organized.

I'm now finding the Fodor's site to be more reliable.

The Virtual Tourist site, twice pushed in postings here is merely a vehicle for advertising over-priced on-line booking services you'd do best to avoid. You provide the content, they make the sales.

It must be said that there's very little content either (perhaps because there are rather a lot of these para-sites on the Web now), and that the site is not structured, as this is, so that many can contribute to debate and get (at least sometimes) to the bottom of things.

Peter N-H
http://members.axion.net/~pnh/China.html
