Southern India in two weeks; Kerala and Tamil Nadu
I just returned from an one month intense travel in Sri Lanka and Southern India.
I spent about 2 weeks in Kerala and Tamil Nadu visiting less the beaches of Kerala and more the temples of Tamil Nadu. I started in Trivandrum where I flew from Colombo, Sri Lanka, and moved to Kanyakumari, Kovalam, Varkhala and Kolam from where I took the public ferry to Allapuzha. Further I went to Kochi and Munnar and getting in Tamil Nadu in Madurai, Tanjavur and Trichy. All these destination were covered by car+driver rented in Trivandrum. In Trichy I dropped the car and the second week was done by buses to Pondicherry, Mamallapuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Tirumala and eventually Chennai from where I flew out to the US.
If you need more details about this travel please check our blog at http://flyingmonk.wordpress.com/category/india/ that has lots of information about transportation, hotels, prices and what can be visited. This is my third travel in India and on the blog are also previous posts from these visits in Khumba Mela@Haridwar, Gwalior to Varanasi and Rajasthan.
Enjoy your travels!
