Shenzen

Trying to decide whether Shenzen is worth visiting.

I got the impression it was more like Sham Shui Po than Nathan Rd? Can anyone advise? Is it similar quality; bigger/smaller?

Thanks

I personally do not like Shenzhen. The
products are cheaper but the quality is inferior and is a far cry as compared to Hong Kong.

The attractions there like Window of the World is nothing to crow about!

We were in Shenzen a few weeks ago and I feel it is definately worth the trip if it is for shopping. We bought a lot of handbags and the quality was great. Took them into the designer stores to compare in HK as well as LA and they were identical. Start on the 4th floor...seems to be better quality. Bargain...Bargain...Bargain...

The 4th floor of which building?

Shenzhen is fun - kind of like disneyland for a couple of days and VERY inexpensive.

A great place for shopping. U can spend a few hours just in the "Lo Wu Commercial Centre" which is right night to the border gate at Lo Wu. However, they don't sell original brand products... fake Prada, Chanel everywhere. Make sure you bargain... 70% off is not unusual!

Go for the shopping. There is a mall right after coming out of customs, 6 floors, incredible buys if you're looking for purses, watches, fabrics, tailored items, etc. Fake, of course, but incredible bargains, and you need to bargain - prices come down 50% and more. Lots of fun.
