Recommendations for Bali

Hello!
My husband and I just arrived in Bali for our honeymoon and are planning our days here. We will be spending 4 days in Ubud, 4 days in Seminyak and 4 days in Java. We would love some recommendations if itineraries and maybe some local guides that can drive us around. The hotel we are staying in wants to charge 850,000 RP per day for a tour guide and we just think that's way too much. Also, we would love some recommendations of spas that would make our honeymoon unforgettable. Any recommendations would be appreciated

I like to get ideas from local companies. Example http://www.exotissimo.com/luxury/ind...oon-bali-tour/

http://indonesiatravelinfo.com/Our_Tours.htm

Then with our goal set, it will be easier for you to decide where to go.

Cheer!

There is a guide often recommended here named Putu. His contact info has been posted several times recently, or perhaps someone who has used him will see this and give you his contact info. Your hotel is quoting you a VERY high price. You can find your own driver n Bali for much leaa.

Looking at itineraries from travel companies can give you ideas, but note that exotissimo is not a local Balinese company.

I used a Bali driver/guide, Wayan Lia. I found him on trip advisor. Don't remember rupiah cost, but was about $50 US per day. He was very good and a licensed guide, not just a driver. He is part of the "drivers with distinction" group. Google his name or that phrase and I'm sure you will find him.

In Java, if budget allows, try Amanjiwo. One of the most special places in the world. We didn't use the spa, but based on the hotel's service, I'm sure it is spectacular.

My top honeymoon choice would be Kayumanis, very, small, private, exquisite. Bigger but arranged to ensure maximum privacy is Kuppu Kuppu Barong. In both, request suite with river directly below you.
In Seminyak, I;ve stayed twice at The Legion, get room on top floor.
I've used both Wayan ([email protected]) and Putu ([email protected]) - you can't go wrong with either of them.
In Java, Amanjiwo if visiting Borobudur. We also liked the Losari Coffee Plantation.
Congratulations!
