Greetings fellow world travelers! I am a 7th grade World History teacher near San Francisco, USA. My class of 12 year old students is doing a year-long project of collecting postcards from around the world, and would like your help. If you would like to participate, please send us a postcard from wherever you are, or wherever you go, and tell us a little about your adventures. Mr. K, <BR>I have some postcards from this summer that I didn't send, but let me send them to you and your class now and tell you a little bit about France and Italy. One of my favorite cards is from the Hansi museum in Riquewihr (Allsace region of France). What a wonderful way to inspire your children toward diversity and travel. <BR>

Mr. K - I dropped a large envelope full of postcards from a recent China trip in the mail to your class today. I ran across them last week when cleaning out a box and was about to throw them away. <BR> <BR>I hated history and geography while I was in school and did everything in my power to avoid taking them. I finally got interested in them when I decided that studying places was just a preliminary form of travel planning. I will send your class cards from all my upcoming trips.

Mr. K, <BR>How wonderful! Going to Paris in ten days and will send you a postcard. I'll pass your address to others who travel and have them do the same. What a great way to get students interested in geography and history!

Has anyone checked this out to make sure it isn't just a way to collect e-mails and addresses (seeking old postcards)? <BR> <BR>Just wondering.

Sounds like a great project Mr. K- I am traveling to Cober Peady next month. I know your students will love to get a postcard from there! Have you ever been? (Didn't think so) Its a wonderful place- you'll see when you get my postcard.

I am a retired elementary school principal. A few years prior to my <BR>retirement a young teacher in our school <BR>did a similar project. His was called: <BR>"Trucker Buddy". A tractor trailer driver sent cards as he travelled around <BR>the US. He even came to our school with <BR>his rig to meet the kids. Hurray for <BR>Teachers who work every day to make <BR>learning interesting.

Hey Matt! What a terrific idea! I'm sure I have a few postcards from past travels sitting around somewhere that I can send to you. I'm searching right now for one from the exotic port of "Sorento". Sound familiar? I'll let you know if I find one. Obviously you are as talented a teacher as your sister Debbi is! Much success with this and all of your other projects.
