Phuket
We are looking for a beach resort in Phuket. We want to walk out of our rooms onto the beach. Any suggestions?

Around $500-600 per night.

some hotels have a few private villas with beach walkouts, but none in Phuket come to mind

The resorts that I know are above your budget but take a look at these resorts from a local web site:

If you can splurge then I highly recommend the Amanpuri with direct access to a semi private beach.
