Our Round the World Trip

My wife and I are beginning a Round the World Trip on March 5. We have purchased OneWorld Business Class Explorer Tickets starting in Istanbul and will be travelling for approximately one year.
You are invited to follow our adventures and misadventures at travelswithannandjerry.blogspot.com.
We look forward to sharing our experiences with you.

I look forward to hearing more about your travels, via your blog. We are in the Westport, CT area also, and would love to undertake a similar adventure once the kids have flown the nest. Best of luck to you!

I have your blog bookmarked and will follow. I wonder why you decided to settle in Redondo Beach after the kids left...

Have a wonderful trip. It takes a lot of planning, more than what is reflected in your blog, I think...

We have been travelling for almost 1 1/2 months and are now in Vietnam, a truly wondeful place to visit. We, again, invite you to folloow our travels at our blog:
travelswithannandjerry.blogspot.com

cruisinred - where do you live in Westport? We lived there for 30 years, first on Fillow Street and then on Debra Lane. My wife, Ann taught at Kings Highway, Long Lots and Staples.

emd - The South Bay area of Los Angeles is a wonderful place to live. We had friends there and were able to live 1 block from the ocean and enjoy the marvelous weather. Close to Los Angeles but relatively quiet, comfortable and traffic-free.

Jerry, Really enjoying your report. How did you arrange your guide in Hanoi?

Cruisin, Hope you are coming to the CT GTG.

CFW, We arranged a private tour through TNK Travel in HCMC but the tour in Hanoi was arranged by Vietnam OpenTour. Our guide, Hung, was a wonderful young man with excellent English skills. We recommend him highly. By the way, where do you live in Connecticut. We lived in Westport for 30 years.
TracyB, It was good meeting you and your husband in Bangkok.

Jerry, We live in Cheshire, CT -- about 30 minutes north of New Haven. Did you book your tours when you got to Vietnam or did you arrange them ahead of time from the U.S.? Is there a way to contact Hung directly? I've posted your blogspot on favorites so we can follow your travels. What a wonderful experience.
