Hi-
I thought that I had read that you should have a translator to go through this house if you don't speak Japanese. Has anyone taken the tour? If so, is it necessary to have a translator and where could I locate one?
Thanks.

I visited there last year. Entry to the house was not allowed without a guide.
I made a reservation through the Tourist Information Center, and was assigned an English-speaking guide. There were about 6 of us in his group.
If the guide had not spoken English, I would probably have missed most of what was interesting about the house.
Be sure to make your reservation as far ahead of time as possible. These tours get booked up quickly.
