Less than 2 weeks and I leave for India!!
Hi all,
I leave in less than 2 weeks. My son has been in India for 3 weeks now and he is loving it!!! So far he has been to the Himmalayas, Varanasi and Kolkata. He did get very sick in Varanasi and found the heat there unbearable.
I will fly into Mumbai and stay 3 nights. Then will fly to Delhi where I will spend 2 nights. Three nights in Shimla, 2 jaipur, 2 agra and then back to Delhi and fly home. I am doing an Oberoi package and I am very excited. I have received a great deal of info from this site. I will post a report when I get home!!!

Really excited for you as you look forward to having a splendid time in India along with your son.
Weather remains very hot still in most parts, although monsoon rains have also started. So be careful what you eat and stay cool.
Shimla will be wonderful as it is so much cooler than the plains.
I hope you are packing cotton t-shirts to help you stay cool. Lots of hand sanitizer too. A good snack to have on hand are gronala bars or Rice Krispy treats.
Enjoy. Have a safe and wonderful trip.
Do share your experience as often as you can.

Sounds like a fabulous trip -- do take care of yourself (we sound like a bunch of old biddies, don't we??) and we're looking forward to a wonderful trip report when you return -- Shimla especially.

Shubh Yatra is correct to wish someone a good trip (shubh is good and yatra is trip).
As already said, be very careful with food. It spoils quickly in that kind of heat. Be very picky where you eat too. Have a great time!
