Hawaii Fodorites are SO friendly, they're having another GTG!

Copied from the US Board, since I know some of us haunt only this side!

All right. It's time. Monica Pileggi returns to visit her island home on Oahu so we are having a GTG on Monday, October 17, 6:30 p.m. at Tiki's Bar & Grill in Waikiki. Please RSVP here so that I can make the appropriate reservations (and maybe get some dang luggage tags). Let me know if you'll be bringing a guest.

For those of you who miss this GTG, don't throw yourself into a nearby volcano! We'll have another GTG in December when the Kals come (look for that invite under a different thread later).

Oh, wouldn't I love to join you wonderful Hawaii Fodorites for another get together! I'll be in the midst of preparing for my Borneo trip - no travel for me in October!

Have a fun get together!

This is so funny, but only in Fodorville! People can't make it because they'll be travelling!

Wish it was me!

Melissa and I emailed each other today. I told her that Tony and I could do the dinner get together on Saturday the 15th, which may make things easier for everyone. Please let us know if you can attend! Same place/time!!

Oh, shucks! Wish I could come again, but I'll be just getting back from the Boston GTG the day before. It's good I live in the middle of the U.S. Think about it...California is really the middle of the U.S. It takes about the same time to fly to Boston...and other east coast destinations... as it does to fly to Honolulu. And there are a lot of GTGs states to hit along the way! Happy Travels!

Parallel GTG's. I love the term Fodorville. Does that make us Fodor-villagers?

Hmmm. Nonstops on United 10/12 returning 10/18 for $283 roundtrip tax included. Only about 5.5 hours travel time each way. Interesting. Do you think it would be ok, after less than 3 weeks at a new job, to take a week's vacation?

mrwunrfl, thats a great fare. sil took advantage of the fare, and is coming for thanksgiving.

i can't make the gtg, ask hawaiiantraveler why, but can certainly meet you for sushi any day before or after that. ring me at yahoo if you plan to come. btw, so you are in la now. i'm sure your boss knows your value, so he/she will give you their blessing.

mellisa, go tigers!
