Air China?

Looking to book a tour for next March but the carrier is Air China. Has anyone had any experience with these folks? Thanks

Hi Larry,

Have flown Air China internationally and domestically in China several times. The service isn't the best however they have an excellent safety record.

Wow Larry where do you get your information??? China Air has one of the worst safety records in the world. Their safety record is so bad that U.S. Governmant employees are not allowed to fly them unless there are no other flights. Off the top of my head I can think of several recent accedents, -China Air 747 skids off runway into Hong Kong harbor; and there was a more rencent one several months ago which I cannot recall.

But don't listen to me. I suggest you find out for yourself and do an internet search through one of the news sites such as CNN and search the words "China Air". That should give you all the info you need.

Brad

Brad,
Please read the original post carefully.
Air China (the subject of the post) is NOT China Air (which has a less than stunning record).
I know nothing about the safety record of Air China, and your posting does not address it, so Michael's posting may indeed be accurate.

I was in Hong Kong and flew out the day after the China Air (from Taiwan) 747-400 went into the harbor. I've flown China Air before, however not again!

As I said earlier, Air China (from Beijing) has not had a fatality accident in their history.
