Agoda points redemption

I have 10,000 Agoda points that I'd like to use on hotel booking. I am not too familiar with this website and I'd like to know how I can redeem these points. When I log in I am told how many points I have, but I am not given an option to redeem points. What am I doing wrong?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Follow the insructions here. Be careful. Sometimes agoda's prices are higher than other sites or direct booking, especially in Japan. Be sure you actually are saving money by booking through them and using points. The 10,000 I think is worth $100. Not 100% sure on that though.

KimJapan, thanks for the reply. Agoda's website is telling me the 10,000 points are worth $20, but the website is not giving me an option to redeem points. Not sure why.
I have checked some hotels in Japan and Agoda is the same price as other sites or direct booking, at least on the hotels I've been looking at.

You need to make a booking and then you have the option of using your points. In the lower tier, 12,500 is worth $25.

Thanks, stichintime.

I was not given an option to redeem points, from stichintime's post I understand that 12,500 is the minimum number of points I can redeem and I don't have enough points at present. Is this correct?

If it is possible to redeem 10,000 points I am doing something wrong, but can't understand what that maybe.

You need to BOOK a hotel. Find a hotel, check availability, click on "book this" then when it comes time to input your payment options you'll be given the option of reducing your total bill using points.

There's no complicated redemption process, you just use your points when it comes time to pay.

MichaelBKK, thanks for the reply.

I have booked two hotels and haven't been given an option to reduce my total bill by using points. I was logged in both times I made the reservation. Which is why I posted the op.

I was only given the option to redeem when I had 12,500 points. When I looked thru the website, I did not see anything that said 10,000=$20 credit toward room.

When I log on I am told I have 10,000 points worth $20, but I haven't been able to use them.

I did look through the website to get information on redeeming points and couldn't find anything.

After my next trip I will have more than 12,500 points but the 10,000 that I have will expire soon, so I doubt I'll ever be able to use them.

They only offer redemption of points when you reach the minumum. If you earn new points, the old ones won't expire.

Thank you, lcuy. I'll just add to my point balance for now and hopefully I'll be able to use them at a later date.
