3 Days in Israel
We are planning to go to Israel for 3 full days to see all the sites associated with biblical times from a Greek Orthodox perspective or even general Christian perspective primarily, but are open to anything from a Jewish perspective as well.
We would love to get peoples' opinions of:
1. Must see places
2. Possible day tours either english or greek speaking companies
3. Possible reasonably priced hotels
4. Any other memorable, worthwhile experiences suggested
5. Any tips on getting around, safety, or anything else that will make the travel experience pleasant
This will be such an incredible experience that we are getting psyched about!
Thank you in advance.

Wow. Thats great though politics does play into this. We had a 4 day stop in Israel in Oct/Nov though all of our trips had to start from Haifa due to Ashdod being closed from rocket attacks in Gaza.
I highly recommend Avi tours Israel. We did two days with them and two days from GTI or guided tours Israel. Both were very good though the edge goes to Avi d/t more personalized service.
Concentrate on the Jerusalem area for sights of incredible historic importance. Also see Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and Masada.
Private tours are costly but worth it IMHO. Tour guides there are schooled, licensed and must pass exams so really its like getting a lesson from a history professor.
Hello dogster. Hows it going? All is well here. So far, knock on wood, the winter we've had which was supposed to be the worst in the entire USA has been incredibly mild. Hope the luck continues.

If you are going to Israel to see it from the Christian perpective, I would recommend staying in Tiberius and visiting Capernaum. I wentthere and viewed from a historical Jewish perspective and it is an impotant site for Christians.
I would recommend going to the Africa Middle East forum to get more responses. Three days in Israel barely touches the country. Jerusalem is another must see place to visit Consider visiting longer.

Thank you all for your helpful answers. I am now even more excited. Yes, the short time I have there will definitely allow us to enjoy a portion of what Israel has to offer but I know I will end up there again within the next two decades God willing.
