Frankfurt Airport - Re-entry
Hi,
I am flying into Frankfurt in the evening. I want to keep my luggage in the storage facility, go check out the city & have dinner, come back to the airport to take luggage & then proceed to my next destination via bus in the bus station at the airport.
Q is: Would I get re-entry in the airport to retrieve the luggage, and probably rest for a bit (have lounge access) before the bus connection?

I haven't done that sort of thing at Frankfurt -- only at LGW or LHR so it might be different. But I'd think you'd have t retrieve your bags and store them landslide (lockers or Left Luggage) before leaving the airport.
As for lounges - you'd only be able to access any that are landslide (again - I don't know about Frankfurt specifically. I think there may be some landslide lounges but most would be airside) . You wouldn't be able to go airside w/o a boarding pass.

@janisj, thanks for your response. You're right. I wrote to the Frankfurt airport and they very promptly replied. I can't enter the airport without the valid boarding pass, hence getting access to lounges is out of the q. But, the luggage storage facility according to them is in the public area. So technically, I can still keep luggage there and come back later to collect it from there and head out to the bus station at the airport.

There is more than one luggage storage facility, but the best for your purposes would be the one in Terminal 1, Arrivals level - even if you should arrive at Terminal 2. It will be just a 1 min walk from that facility in T1 to the bus station.
