Which Nile Cruise Ship?
Hi-- Has anyone ever done a Nile cruise on the MS Tulip? I can't find much info - except from the company who owns it. Our tour operator suggested booking it for us for a 4 day Nile cruise. I would really like to read some reviews before we commit. I appreciate any advice you all have. Thanks, REGF

Hi REGF, you are smart to be cautious about some Nile cruises. Some boats are old rebuilt cargo hulls and can reek of diesel fuel. I did a quick search using "Nile cruise MS Tulip" on Google (177 hits) and it gave a brief idea of what to expect. It claims to be 5 star and probably is. I would be cautious booking anything less than 5 star because quality can be really subjective.
The boat looks excellent and the facilities appear fine. Good luck with your search for people who have reviewed the boat.

Thank you teacherCanada for your advice. I have Googled MS Tulip also and can't come up with anyone who has sailed on it. I'm hoping that someone on this forum may have been on it or might recommend a boat that they really liked. I appreciate your help.--REGF

I did a search on this forum and only found one reference to the MS Tulip back in 1999 or so. And that was just a request of info - like yours. No comments or reviews.
Looks like no one here has taken that boat.
What tour operator are you using and what other boat options do you have?

did you try trip advisor? they have more Egypt info, although it's mostly about Sharm. We just got back from a cruise on the Royal Ruby, and it was delightful. I was concerned too, but it turned out great.

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for your advice and interest. The other 2 boats mentioned were the Al Kahila and the Al Jamila. I Googled them both and came up with good and bad comments. There seemed to be no general consensus except that the food was really bad. (Mentioned by several people.) I'll try Tripadvisor and see if there are any comments. Thanks. REGF
