Help! While I prefer small, charming inns (riads and the like), I have to spend a few days in Casa, and there only seems to be large chain hotels. Does anyone have any recommendations for small (10-30 rooms) hotels, riads, B&Bs, etc. in Casa? Thanks in advance.

Hi Leslie,<BR><BR>Why not go with Club Med? You can either get air and land or just land (stay, 3 meals a day, plus activities)? They usually have a friendly staff.<BR><BR>I just got back from their village in Ouarzazate which was great.

OOOps, I think Club Med is in Marrakech and not Casa.

Hi! During a two week trip to Morocco, we spent a few days at the Sheraton in Casablaca. First, let me tell you that Casa is a Very Dirty City. I would never go there again. <BR><BR>Essouaira, on the coast would be delightful instead. There are riads there.<BR><BR>Fez was also a favorite city.<BR><BR>\Just my 2cents!

I have lived in casa and there are a great many small hotels mostly on the the wide blvd on the the ocean. there are also many hotels in the city which are a fraction of the price of the large chains. The safir is a beautiful hotel, the is a travel agent in NYC his name is alain at le soliel tours he can recommend many morrocan owned hotels as can the Morrocoan tourist board in NYc. hope I could help

Hi,<BR>Just got back from Morocco and also visited Casa. I would have to agree with the post that says it's very dirty. I would also never return. <BR><BR>We stayed at the Ibis Moussafir chain of hotels. They are located right next to the major train stations in many cities throughout Morocco. When I say right next to, I really mean it--literally steps away. If you are taking the train this hotel chain is extremely convienent. Not sure how many rooms they have, but they aren't that large. Breakfast is included and they serve from around 6 am to noon. A double room will cost about 500 dirhams. The Casa location does not have a pool.<BR>Hope this helps.

I just returned from a trip throughout Morocco and wouldn't recommend Casa too highly. It's just a huge sprawling industrial city without too much to offer culturally or otherwise. I didn't see any hotels of the type you describe. You are likely better off in a chain.
