Tel Aviv breakfast prices
I am staying at the Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel & Towers and the breakfast is not included. Does anyone know what breakfasts cost at this hotel or in Israeli hotels in general?
I can stay at the Sheraton Moriah with breakfast but the Hotel & Towers seems to get better reviews.

You are right to choose this hotel. It is nicer than the Moriah (which is also pretty nice). Breakfasts became very popular in the last years in all hotels, restaurants and coffee shops in Israel. In most places you'll find that they serve breakfasts al least till 12 noon. In some even till 2 PM. I am not sure how much the Sheraton charges for breakfast, my guess is about 12 dollars (50 shekels). The hotels usually offer a huge breakfast buffet. The restaurants' and coffee shops' breakfast can run between 7-10 dollars. Hope this helps.

Israeli breakfast is so much more elaborate and filling than the standard continental/US equivalent. Good assortment of cheese and dairy products, salad, fresh pita etc. (and I'm not even getting to jachnoon and brown eggs!) I think it's my most favourite meal of the day!

Why not ask the Sheraton for a price including breakfast, then make your decision.
If, as eri suggests, only about $12(even @ $15-$20) believe me, it's money well-spent. Enough food to hold you for the rest of the day. If you eat early, then pack enough to take along for lunch... everyone does - fruit, yougurt, breads, make sandwiches, etc. Then you only need concern yourself with dinner.

I must respond to Sandi's response regarding packing away food from the breakfast buffet to take with you for lunch and the rest of the day. It is definitely discouraged and NOT everyone does it at all. It is true that many years ago it was done, and some people still do, but it is definitely frowned upon. If you would like to take a piece of fruit or two, that is fine. But to prepare an entire meal for yourselves to take away with you is really a no-no.
