late Sept 2008 - Tunisia / Morocco

we've about 2wks from late sept to mid oct. the fasting month ends on 29/9. is it a big hurdle that we should avoid travelling to tunisia or morocco? how inconveninet would that be?

i've been to morocco for 10 days a few years back. is tunisia comparable in sight? not that interested in beaches there but seems that travel packages are all gear to beach-stay.

would spain + morocco be fun.... ??

Well you should decide first which destination you are going to. And fasting month of Ramadan ends at late September so your first few days in the country will be the last of Ramadan. It'll be good for you to witness how life goes at those last few days of Ramadan and also the celebration days of Eid Al Fitr. Even though the latter is a family thing and you won't get to feel what it's like unless you are invited into a Moroccan family home.
If you're from the states, then Morocco is closer to you than Tunisia. You can visit more new exciting places that you didn't get to visit on your last visit to Morocco.

Try posting on TripAdvisor.com forum. Their Morocco board is a lot busier than fodors and what I used to plan our trip.

Thanks JGG!

I have been scouring these boards for a week or so trying to pull something together for this Christmas. I am going to check out Trip Advisor as well. I will feel much better if I have everything planned before we go.

Once I have a better plan, I hope you will be around for questions! I loved your trip report and can't wait for our camel ride into the desert!
