Lewa might be closed during the short rains. I think they have in past years.

I did see that they were closed in Nov on the website so it will possibly be Cottar's or similar.

Looks good and you can check into what all is open in Nov. If you wished to swap Lewa for a Mara property, such as Cottars, I think I'd just do more time at Little Govs. Or I'd stay at Cottar's for the whole time in the Maasai Mara.

I would go to Little Governors, over Cottars. Much better game drives and overall safari experience.

If Lewa is not available, try Shompole, or Ol Donyo Waus.

Or Meru. I was pleasantly surprised by the game viewing in Meru recently (though I admit I had gone with not-so-high expectations) and I was there at the wettest and greenest possible time. The only vehicles you'll likely see are ones with other guests from your camp.

There are also many other properties in Laikipia outside of Lewa.
