Eight days in Israel--What did I miss?
I just returned from an eight day trip to Israel but I'm going back in June so I would like some input for suggestions.
Day 1: Arrived at the airport, took the train to bus 16 and walked to my hotel called the Beachfront Hotel. This is a budget hotel with an excellent location--right on the beach with a roof-top bar.
Day 2: I walked down to old Jaffa and took a walking tour for three hours.
Day 3. Took a tour of Nazareth, Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee. The tour company Bein Harim picked me up at my hotel at 7:15 a.m. and returned at 7:00 p.m.
Day 4. Visited Massada and the Dead Sea. Had a chance to float in the Dead Sea and rub mud all over my body.
Day 5. Visited Jerusalem with the same tour company. Sites included the Jewish Quarter, Western Wall, Moslem Quarter, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Mt. Zion, King David's tomb, Hall of Last Supper, Garden of Gethsemane.
Day 6. Rented a bicycle and rode around Tel Aviv. Spent some time at the beach.
Day 7. Visited Caesarea, Haifa, Acre and Rosh Hanikra. Visited the limestone grottos at the border with Lebanon.
Day 8. Took a walking tour of Tel Aviv.
Day 9. Flew home.
Should I visit Jordan in June?

As some friends who visit Israel often claim 'there's always something to see' so, of course you missed something. But that is for you to decide based on your interest.
Jordan - sure, why not at least at Petra, but don't rush thru this as a 1/day trip, rather give yourself 2-3/days. And it's best to cross from Israel to Jordan at Eilat (down south) rather than at the Allenby Bridge which is always crowded/traffic and will delay. Do some research as to what's available, who's offering and costs.
June will be very hot in both countries.

I estimate that you missed 80% of the country - everything that is not on the standard tours. For example, look at my post on the previous thread about Tel-Aviv: how much of what I listed did you see ? How many of the National Parks did you visit ?

It is a good idea to rent a few days in the Galilee and Negev as many of the sites there have inefficient access by public transport.
It is a good idea to go to Jordan if you are already in the neighborhood.

People spend weeks and weeks in Jerusalem and still haven't seen it all. One day in Jerusalem gave you an overview. Now you need to go back and actual see the city! Go to the Israel musem, go to Yad V;shem, spend time slowly wandering the old City.
