That's an excellent website, and I'm sure the service will be equally excellent. It must have taken a very long time to put together, and the effort and hours is evident. Congratulations and best of luck.

He he he I was wondering when it would be announced - I've seen the new website and I think it's excellent and no doubt will continue to grow as new helpful content gets added.

Congratulations again to Julian and Sharon (now Julian's partner has been outed)!

Hello,

Thank you everyone for your kind words...now you know why my trip reports aren't done! Hopefully I will be able to make some progress on them now, though!

Cheers,

Superb web site. Attractive, easy to use, easy to read, very informative. Gives one confidence that you have my (client's) interests and wishes as your priority.
Best of luck.

Congratulations on the "marriage". Wonderful website that navigates very easily. Julian, I am a little (no make that very) jealous that a physician can have a business that allows him to travel to Africa without an excuse. I am forever trying to explain to family and patients why I go.
Best of luck to both of you!
Regards,
Eric

Hi Eric,

There has to be *some* compensation for being a a lowly-paid academic

You could always do a stint with ORBIS...

Cheers,
Julian

Hi everyone - Thank you, thank you, thank you! The nice sentiments are truly heartwarming and mean so much! It will be a learning curve, having to tread more carefully here, so please bear with me!

I am not sure about that lowly paid academic remark however I do know having done a year's fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital that some of the most brilliant minds in the field were in fact working for a tiny percentage of what they could earn outside academia.
I think there is a program in Kenya (or southern Africa) periodically that needs eye surgeons and if you know what it is let me know.
Best of luck...any non green TimelessAfrica fleeces

Hi Eric,

I think the programme you're referring to is ORBIS, the flying eye hospital:

http://www.orbis.org/bins/index.asp

I've often thought about spending some time with them but my speciality (neuro-ophtho) is not terribly useful in their work.

Cheers,
Julian
