WOW! I'm awestruck and almost speechless.
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous photos.
I didn't have time to read all of the text but will return. What I did read is insightful and well written.
Thanks so much for posting this report.

Thanks Anthony. I've been debating future trips for awhile now, with Morroco always on the short list. I'd have really enjoyed your report, even if that weren't the case. You're an excellent writer and pretty decent with the camera too.
Thanks for sharing this. At the very least I'll know to take the other sleeping option at Sefrou. Funny stuff.

Amazing! You've really given me many reasons to take a look at the areas you traveled - the colors, texures, people and terrain are stunningly beautiful.
question, if you don't mind: Did you adjust the coloration of the dunes or were they really that amazing burnt sienna color?
Thanks for sharing your trip Anthony;
Sherry

Thde dunes were really that color, I did not Photoshop post processing except for reducing the image size, adjusting the histogram and dropping a shadow behind the canvas. It was really really good light.

You had me with that dune.
Admittedly, I didn't read every word (but will return to do so). Amazing the detail and feeling for your surroundings.
The dunes, the alleys, the people, animals, tannery, ruins and food* stands... I kept wanting more, more and mooooore. Can't even imagine how you could select those you did, as I'm sure the others are as remarkable and with a continuing story to tell.
*did you ever see a chunk of ice or some sort of refrigeration with all that protein around? The lack of befuddles me no matter how many like markets, old cities, souks I've visited.
A friend recently returned with many like pics that held my complete attention; one of the best was someone boarding on the dunes... I was almost expecting similar in your grouping.
Thank you oh so much for reminding me that Morocco is still on my must see list; something I'm going to have to do something about soon.

OHMYGOD
I thought I wanted to go to Morocco before I read your trip report and saw your pictures.
Now, I positively CRAVE it - I need to be there! What a phenominal trip report, and your pictures are absolutely breathtaking.
I would honestly love to do exactly what you did, I can't imagine going there and not seeing some of those images you posted.
Thank you for a great report!

Wow and double wow! Not only are your photos wonderful but your writing is too. I'm completely captivated.
Morocco has been on my short list for a while now and I'm moving it up.
Thank you for sharing,
Sandy (in Denton)

Absolutely gorgeous and I appreciated the map of the journey for orientation. I am photography-challenged, so I enjoy the fruits of others' labors, knowing that I cannot take such beautiful pictures myself. Thanks.

Thanks again everyone. I want to go back!
re: the snake's mouths: that's what I have heard, and I didn't much relish taking a close look. It is awful, and if true, I wonder how they eat.?
