March Safari
Hi all,
Just wanted to get your thoughts on an end of February/beginning of March safari. We have been in July and honestly thinking about the March time frame for 1) a different perspective and 2) a lower cost. This would be at the end of calving season but hopefully before the rains. Anyone have any experience traveling during this time?
The suggested itinerary is roughly

The suggested itinerary is roughly
- Tarangire National Park
- Lake Manyara National Park
- Ngorongoro Crater
- Ndutu
- Serengeti National Park

Who suggested this itinerary? An agent? 5 different spots is a lot of running around. How many days is this over? This seems like a generic travel agent itinerary that isn't taking into account your preferences and where you've previously been.
For your prior trip, where did you go in July and for how long?
I assume you've been to the Crater already. Do you really need to go again? IMHO it was very cool once, but I wouldn't go again -- too crowded, plus can't offroad. If I were you, I'd focus on places that are more private and where you can offroad and where the migration is likely to be.
And FYI Ndutu is within the Serengeti ecosystem.
I can't help you on the weather/migration patterns, sorry. But I can say you might want to approach this in a more focused way.
