Kibo Guides

We have booked a trip to Tanzania with Kibo for February 2008. Can any one recommend a guide?

Thanks,

CJ

I've been with Kibo several times. We had a couple of great guides in June: Peter Njau, our lead guide who is fantastic and Godliving, our second guide who is younger, but also excellent and personable. If Allen Mnyenye is available, he is one of the best, but is often busy with private clients.

ShayTay,

Thanks for the names. We will request Allen or Peter to start with. It is always helpful to have a name and I do appreciate your response.

Joseph and Comfort are both excellent guides(amazing eyes and scouting) who made my trip educational from both a safari standpoint but also in regards to typical life in Tanzania. They were very professional as well as fun. They went above and beyond the call of duty every step of the way. If you do any camping, Team Duma are a wonderful group of guys, and their chef Ayubu is unbelievable -- don't plan to lose any weight on the trip as we all ate WAY more than normal - -our whole group agreed that the meals he prepared in a campsite in the middle of the Serengeti were better than the majority of fancy restaurants we've been to at home - don't know how he did it!

You're so right, Makm! I took a bank club to Tanzania with Kibo. The club director, who travels all the time to places like New York and Paris said that the food in our Serengeti camp was the best she had ever had on a trip!
